I’m Rae!

When I was a little girl, I got lost in the magic of stories. I wanted to jump into them, be a part of them. As a grown woman, that love has become something deeper, as I’ve come to believe that stories truly have the power to change the world.

For over 15 years, I have harnessed my craft in Atlanta, at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts (Stella Adler Studio track) and in some of the best studios Los Angeles has to offer.

My fire for storytelling has never burned out, and I hope I can help you tell yours.

These are my partners in crime, my confidants, my family. Myko and I have been on this journey together since our senior year of college. We adopted our fur baby Beija (Portuguese for “kiss”) in 2013, married in 2015, and are beyond excited to be welcoming our first child in early 2023.

FUN FACTS about me

  1. I’m a die hard musical theater lover.

  2. I have a twin brother. With that said, no, we are not identical (You’d be amazed how many people still ask even after hearing “brother”!!)

  3. I am a knitter! And if we become friends, I’ll almost definitely make you something.

  4. World traveler- Have been to Turkey, Greece, Thailand, China, England, Scotland, Portugal and want to hit every spot on the globe I can in this lifetime .

  5. Coffee connoisseur, wine lover, bourbon lover.

  6. Classic rock is my jam. My dad raised me on all Beatles music (he literally had a room dedicated to them), Eric Clapton and The Allman Brothers. On my mom’s side, it was all Led Zeppelin and Fleetwood Mac. She was also obsessed with Stevie Nicks’ solo albums and that definitely rubbed off on me a bit too. Also wildly obsessed with Elton John.

  7. Fun, weird, work story! I got my SAG eligibility on Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan. I doubled for Natalie Portman for pre-production camera tests, then ended up being used for a lot of makeup and prosthetic work. I modeled many of the swan lake face makeup looks as they decided which to go with. They also tested all of the fleshy “swan bumps” for the hallucinations on my skin and ended up lifecasting my legs to be used for Winona’s post-car crash scene. So yes, those cut up legs in the hospital are mine!  I got to be a fly on the wall watching them work for weeks, and having been fresh out of NYU at the time, learned so much.
